From September 2 to 5, 2026, the raw materials and construction industry will gather at Europe’s largest basalt quarry in Nieder-Ofleiden, Hesse, for steinexpo. PFREUNDT will once again be on site as an exhibitor, presenting its digital weighing solutions for greater efficiency and transparency in the mining industry. With a booth area of more than 130 m², this year’s trade show presence is significantly larger than in previous years. In addition to its proven weighing solutions, this is primarily due to three new products that PFREUNDT will be introducing to industry professionals.

The absolute highlight at the booth is the new PFREUNDT excavator scale. It has been specifically designed to meet the requirements of modern mining operations and combines precise weighing technology with digital connectivity and exceptionally user-friendly operation.

At steinexpo, visitors can experience the new excavator scale and how it works firsthand. From the cab of the excavator on display, they can see for themselves the intuitive operation and compact design of the weighing electronics. Using the excavator simulator, which is controlled via joysticks, visitors can also see how weighing fits into the work process. Visitors can try out the weighing processes themselves and thus gain a practical impression of how the weighing solution can be integrated into their daily work.

New Check-In and Check-Out Terminal in the PFREUNDT Web Portal 

Another highlight of the trade show presentation is the new check-in and check-out terminal in the PFREUNDT Web Portal. In the future, truck drivers will be able to check in directly at the terminal at the plant entrance, initiate their loading order, and pick up their delivery slip at the terminal after loading. The entire process is managed centrally through the PFREUNDT Web Portal, thereby digitizing yet another key process at the plant.

This offers clear advantages for companies: the risk of accidents is reduced because the driver does not have to leave the vehicle to check in. Work orders are transmitted digitally and unambiguously, additional staffing costs for check-in and check-out can be reduced, and all process steps are documented in the PFREUNDT Web Portal. The result is a seamless, transparent process that reduces wait times and speeds up operations at the plant.

New Full-Service Contracts for Vehicle Scales

Also new are the full-service contracts for vehicle scales. These all-inclusive packages include, among other things, maintenance services such as servicing, calibration, and the replacement of wear parts. In addition, they include fault diagnostics, the delivery and installation of replacement parts, and software and firmware updates. The scope of services under the full-service contracts also covers the preparation, organization, and support for calibration procedures, as well as coordination with the relevant calibration authorities. Agreed-upon response times to fault reports round out the packages and ensure planning reliability and high system availability for the customer.
